The Birmingham Gay Social Club is a real-world, members-only social club for meeting queer people in person – not online. It’s all about curated events, good energy, and actually having fun.
We’re the big gay gang that organise your social calendar for you, we’re the table you join when you want to check out a new venue, and most importantly, we’re making new queer friends actually a vibe.
We’ve got members of all genders, and all sexualities, with ages ranging right from 18 all the way through to 78 – we make sure events are balanced across genders, ages and sexualities, to make it easy to meet people your vibe! It’s purposely mixed ages, mixed sexualities, but always a massive vibe, for like-minded queer people looking to get social and make more LGBTQIA+ friends!
Think: Big gay group dinner meet-ups, joining our table at drag brunches and bingo around town, curated WLW-specific rooftop drinks, LGBTQIA+ brunch meets, sporty spice events like our gay run club, your new gay group to meet for Friday after work drinks and so much more, but all designed to come solo and actually be social.
Whether it’s your first event or your fifteenth, we’ve got you – before you go, we’ll digitally intro you to your event’s host, so when you arrive, there’s already someone waiting to welcome you and bring you into the fold, making it perfect for coming solo!
The first 100 spots at £5/month are already gone – but you can still join at £8/month (locked down at £8/month for the lifetime of your membership) before we move to the full £14/month public price once we hit capacity.

Your Birmingham Gay Social Club membership gives you full access to our members-only calendar of LGBTQIA+ events and meet-ups. So you never have to find people to go to events with again – your membership guarantees you a seat at our table or a spot in our group, making it easy to meet new people without the awkwardness.
Most events are free to attend (you just pay for what you eat or drink on the night). For bigger events, like concerts or shows, you’ll need to grab a third-party ticket – but we’ll organise the group so you can join the crew that’s going, and never be stuck with no one to go with.
Unless an event is marked otherwise with a ** (for example, WLW Drinks), every event is open to the whole LGBTQIA+ community.
And when we say “gay” or “divas,” we’re talking about energy, not gender – so everyone’s welcome.

Many events like running clubs, walking groups and book clubs are completely free to attend.
For dinners, brunches or drinks, you just pay for what you personally eat or drink. No packages. No minimum spend. No pressure.
Very occasionally, a third-party ticketed event may apply (for example, a concert or show). These are rare and always clearly communicated in advance.
